Schoenherr Slovenia's 3rd Pre-Moot

Last Friday, Schoenherr Slovenia hosted the 3rd Pre-Moot Rehearsal. A record seven university teams from four countries attended the event: Graz, Ljubljana, Maribor, Milano, Osijek, Trieste and Zagreb.
Following a morning reception with coffee and snacks, and a warm welcome by Marko Prušnik (partner at Schoenherr Slovenia), 11 pleadings were held. In keeping with tradition, teams of two students each pleaded before a tribunal of three arbitrators. After each round of arguments, the arbitrators scored the teams and provided feedback.
The arbitrators consisted of former Vis Moot participants who are now lawyers at Schoenherr Slovenia (Lea Avsenik and Urša Ušeničnik) and other leading Slovenian law firms (Rojs, Peljhan, Prelesnik & Partners, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz and Miro Senica and attorneys) as well as other former Moot participants and university team coaches.
The Pre-Moot Rehearsal at Schoenherr Slovenia has become a traditional preparatory event in which participants have the opportunity to get to know the other teams and arbitrators as well as to improve their skills for the upcoming Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition, which will take place later this year in Vienna.
