CSR trends in EU: Mandatory corporate due diligence on the horizon

The EU is discussing the introduction of a legislative framework that would require undertakings operating in the internal market to conduct mandatory due diligence with regard to human rights, environmental, and good governance risks.

Due diligence obligations would apply to all undertakings, regardless of their size or business sector.

Marko Frantar and Maks David Osojnik in an article for TFL Glasnik, discuss the draft EU Directive on corporate due diligence and corporate accountability, recently published by the European Parliament.
